A stroke is a blood clot in your brain.  Your brain is large and your symptoms can vary depending on where the clot is.

Signs of Stroke

  • Face drooping
  • Speech problems
  • Sight problems
  • Writing problems
  • Headache
  • Weakness in the arm or one side
  • Confusion
  • Numbness in arm or face

How do you know if you are having a stroke?

If you are having any of these above symptoms it could be a stroke.  It could be stress, a migraine, an allergic reaction, and more but Strokes are so very serious that you must go in.   If you don’t, part of your brain could die.  Our brains are super important and you could have permanent weakness, memory loss, or numbness for the rest of your life if you wait.

Children also can have strokes.  You usually see something wrong in how their face looks or they cannot use their arm.

Go directly to the ER or call 911 if you or someone you know is having stroke symptoms.  Do not drive yourselfDo not go to the clinic or urgent care.  You need a CT of your head to check for a clot.  They do not have those at clinics.
